Andrew Scannell has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in over 25 years, providing tax advice to the owner-managed business or entrepreneurial sector, and with large firm training and experience gained with:
- BDO Stoy Hayward (London) working in their Tax Consultancy unit for 13 years, and
- Ernst & Young (Dublin) working in their tax department for 5 years.
While at BDO, Andrew has lectured on various tax topics including:
- Tax Issues on Management Buy Outs
- Inheritance Tax Issues for Owner Managed Businesses, and
- Capital Gains Tax Taper Relief
As a Chartered Tax Adviser, Andrew is a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax and is also a member of:
- The Institute of Taxation in Ireland, and
- The Society of Financial Advisers of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Mary Scannell is an experienced Chartered Accountant, having qualified in 1992. After achieving accreditation, Mary lectured for a number of years in audit and accounting on the ACCA and MBA courses run by the University of East London. Mary returned to accounting work on a part-time basis, working on small business accounts in the owner-managed sector.
